Nordic Breed Only Mini Mid Distance Race
Bob Florek of Old Stone Kennels in Cape Vincent NY is putting together a Nordic Breed Only Mini Mid Distance race which will be open to purebred teams of AKC/CKC (Canadian) and UKKC (United Kingdom) Siberians, Samoyeds and Malamutes.
Distances will be 4 dog, 10 miles and 6 dog, 16 miles.
The race will be held Feb 24, 2007 at Winona State Forest, Mannsville, NY.
It will be sponsored by North Country Kennel Club, Seneca Siberian Husky Club and Facilitated by PSDC. The purse is $1000.00 (600 for 6 and 400 for 4) paying down 8 places. Along with the payouts all mushers will have their dinner paid for at the local Fire House served Family Style Roast Beef or Turkey at the awards dinner.
The following day Sunday the PSDC will host a sprint race.
